Eric Trump Threatens Lawsuit After Jen Psaki’s Explosive China Trip Accusation

A bitter new political and media war erupted Friday night after Eric Trump publicly threatened to sue MSNBC and former White House press secretary Jen Psaki over claims tied to his father’s controversial trip to China.

The dramatic feud exploded after Psaki accused the president’s son during her television monologue of having business interests connected to China while accompanying Donald Trump during the high-stakes Beijing summit with Chinese President Xi Jinping.

Now Eric Trump says the accusations crossed a line — and he’s preparing to fight back in court.

“Contrary to her monologue and blatant lies, I have NEVER been on the board of ALT5 — not now, not ever,” Eric Trump wrote furiously on social media.

Psaki accused Eric Trump of sitting on the board of a company purportedly seeking to do business in China.

The clash began after Psaki referenced reports involving crypto-linked company ALT5 Sigma during an episode of “The Briefing with Jen Psaki.”

During the segment, Psaki argued that Eric Trump’s presence in China raised conflict-of-interest concerns because of the Trump family’s business connections and alleged ties to international ventures involving artificial intelligence and Chinese technology.

Psaki specifically claimed Eric Trump sat on the board of ALT5 Sigma — a company reportedly exploring a possible partnership with a Chinese chip manufacturer connected to AI infrastructure projects.

But Eric Trump immediately pushed back.

He insisted he was never a board member and accused Psaki and the network of spreading false information to damage him politically.

“I have zero business interests in China,” Trump declared.

“No properties, no investments, nothing.”

The dispute appears to center on a technical distinction revealed in financial filings.

According to reports and SEC documents reviewed afterward, Eric Trump was listed not as a formal board member, but as a “board observer” for ALT5 Sigma — a non-voting role that still allows attendance at meetings and involvement in discussions.

That distinction quickly became the center of the media firestorm.

Psaki later aired footage and documents she claimed supported her reporting, including public introductions during a Nasdaq event where Eric Trump was reportedly described multiple times as connected to the company’s leadership.

But Trump insists the characterization was false and defamatory.

He also rejected suggestions that he traveled to China to pursue business opportunities while his father conducted sensitive diplomatic meetings with Xi Jinping.

Instead, Eric Trump portrayed the trip as purely personal.

“I joined this trip for one reason,” he wrote, “as a loving son who adores my father and wouldn’t miss being by his side for this incredible moment.”

Eric Trump said he and his wife, Lara, visited the Great Wall of China as the president held bilateral talks with Xi Jinping.

According to Trump, while the president and administration officials participated in negotiations and meetings inside Beijing, he and his wife Lara Trump spent part of the trip visiting the Great Wall of China.

The public threat of legal action instantly intensified an already explosive political atmosphere surrounding the Trump administration’s China summit.

Critics of the Trump family have repeatedly raised concerns about potential overlaps between diplomacy, private business relationships, cryptocurrency ventures, and foreign interests.

Meanwhile, Trump allies accuse major media outlets of deliberately targeting the president’s family with misleading reporting.

The legal threat against Psaki now threatens to escalate that battle into a major courtroom showdown involving media liability, public figures, and political reporting during one of the most tense periods of Trump’s presidency.

So far, neither Psaki nor MSNBC has publicly backed down.

And Eric Trump ended his warning with two ominous words:

“More to come…”
