She was one of the most desired women on the planet, yet the men who entered her life rarely brought her the love and security she was searching for.

Behind the famous red swimsuit, platinum hair and seemingly carefree smile was a woman whose private life became even more dramatic than anything Hollywood could have written.

Born in a small Canadian town, she was discovered almost by accident after appearing on a stadium screen during a football game. Modeling opportunities followed, and by the early 1990s she had become an international sex symbol. Television made her famous, but her tempestuous romances turned her into a permanent tabloid obsession.

The defining love affair of her life began with Mötley Crüe drummer Tommy Lee.

Their attraction was immediate, reckless and almost impossible to control. In February 1995, he followed her to Cancún, where their whirlwind romance exploded into marriage. They had reportedly known each other for only four days when they exchanged vows on a beach.

She wore a white bikini. He wore board shorts.

Instead of traditional rings, they tattooed each other’s names onto their fingers. Her mother reportedly learned about the wedding through the press.

It seemed outrageous even by Hollywood standards, but she later insisted that the love between them was real. They were wild, impulsive and consumed by one another. Within a few years, they welcomed two sons, Brandon and Dylan.

Then their fantasy became a nightmare.

A private recording made during their honeymoon was stolen from their home and distributed without their consent. The tape spread through bootleg copies and the early internet, becoming one of the first viral celebrity scandals.

The public treated it as entertainment. For the woman at its center, it was a profound violation.

She later explained that she never profited from the recording. The humiliation followed her everywhere, damaging her career and transforming deeply private moments into material for strangers to judge.

In October 2007, she married professional poker player Rick Salomon in Las Vegas. The ceremony reportedly took place during a break between her performances in a casino magic show.

The marriage lasted only a matter of weeks. She filed to end it that December, and it was annulled in 2008.

Years later, she gave Salomon another chance. She said he had become sober, and they remarried in 2014. The second attempt also collapsed, ending in divorce the following year amid bitter accusations and renewed tabloid attention.
