Trump Unleashes Furious Midnight Attack on Republican ‘Traitor’ After GOP Election Shock

President Donald Trump erupted in another late-night political meltdown Saturday, launching a furious public attack against Republican Congressman Thomas Massie while openly celebrating the downfall of another GOP lawmaker who broke with him.

The explosive Truth Social rant came shortly after Louisiana Senator Bill Cassidy reportedly suffered a humiliating political blow after being blocked from appearing in the Republican Senate primary — a defeat Trump appeared eager to frame as revenge for Cassidy’s impeachment vote against him during his first presidency.

But it was Massie who quickly became the main target of Trump’s rage.

Posting shortly after midnight, Trump unloaded on the Kentucky Republican in blistering fashion, calling him “the worst and most unreliable Republican Congressman in the history of our Country.”

Then the attack escalated even further.

“Massie, a major Sleazebag, is even worse!” Trump wrote in the lengthy social media tirade.

The president then demanded Kentucky voters remove Massie from office during Tuesday’s election, publicly endorsing challenger Ed Gallrein instead.

Trump praised Gallrein as a “great man” and “American War Hero,” while portraying Massie as disloyal to both the Republican Party and the MAGA movement itself.

The president also attempted to tie Massie politically to Senator Rand Paul, mocking the congressman as “Rand Paul Jr.” and attacking what he described as their “terrible voting habits.”

The extraordinary public outburst immediately ignited reactions online, with political observers warning that Trump’s increasingly aggressive attacks against fellow Republicans reveal deepening fractures inside the GOP ahead of the 2026 midterm elections.

Critics argued the post was yet another example of Trump prioritizing personal loyalty above ideology or party unity.

Others noted how quickly the president appears willing to turn on Republicans who fail to fully align with him politically.

Massie has long had a complicated relationship with Trump.

Although the two occasionally aligned on issues involving spending and government power, Massie has repeatedly broken with Trump and MAGA leadership on key votes and political strategies — often drawing public criticism from Trump allies.

Now, however, the feud appears to be escalating into full political warfare.

Trump’s attack also reportedly followed tensions involving Colorado Congresswoman Lauren Boebert, whom Trump had allegedly threatened to punish politically after she campaigned on Massie’s behalf.

The message from Trump appeared unmistakable: support Massie, and risk becoming a target yourself.

The timing of the post raised additional eyebrows because it once again came during one of Trump’s increasingly frequent overnight social media posting sprees — a pattern that has sparked growing public discussion in recent weeks.

Critics and commentators have repeatedly pointed to the president’s late-night posting habits as evidence of intensifying political anger and instability inside the White House.

Saturday night’s rant only added more fuel to that conversation.

For Republicans heading into a brutal election season, the situation could become increasingly dangerous.

The GOP is already battling fears over inflation, gas prices, backlash tied to the Iran conflict, and growing Democratic momentum in key swing states.

Now Trump’s open warfare against members of his own party threatens to deepen divisions even further.

And for lawmakers who still occasionally resist him, the warning appears crystal clear:

Cross Trump publicly — and he may come after your political career next.
