(Video) Footage of the Arrest of the Killer of the Israeli Couple Goes Viral on Social Media

Washington, D.C., May 22, 2025 — A video purportedly showing the arrest of Elias Rodriguez, the suspect in the fatal shooting of two Israeli embassy employees near the Capital Jewish Heritage Museum, has gone viral on social media.

The footage captures a man being subdued by security personnel while shouting “Free, free Palestine!” during his apprehension. A keffiyeh, a traditional Middle Eastern scarf, is visible on the ground beside him. The video is believed to have been recorded shortly after the shooting incident.

Elias Rodriguez, 30, is accused of fatally shooting a man and a woman, both employees of the Israeli embassy, as they were leaving an event at the museum. The incident has been labeled by Israeli officials as an act of antisemitic terrorism.

The viral video has intensified public interest in the case, with many expressing outrage over the attack and concern over rising antisemitic sentiments. Authorities have not yet released an official statement regarding the video’s authenticity or the suspect’s motives.

The investigation is ongoing, and further details are expected to be released in a forthcoming press conference by the Metropolitan Police Department.
