Mayor Expresses Concern
Washington Township Mayor Matthew Murello voiced his concerns on Good Morning America, saying the situation feels “scary” and warrants immediate attention. “Something’s going on,” Murello stated, reflecting the frustration shared by many. He questioned why drones are flying over farm country, suggesting, “If you want videos of cows, I’ll be happy to send you some.”
Murello also criticized the lack of transparency from federal authorities, including White House National Security Communications Adviser John Kirby, who downplayed the sightings. Murello argued that law enforcement should be authorized to neutralize drones under controlled conditions. “We don’t need to bring all of them down; we need to bring one down,” he emphasized, suggesting this could provide critical answers.
