Legal Battles and Old Friendships: Prince Harry Eyes Return to England

Recently, documents have surfaced revealing that King Charles’ son updated his residence after being evicted from his UK property by the King last March. However, new information indicates that Prince Harry is returning to the UK.

According to “Page Six,” Queen Elizabeth’s grandson is currently seeking a permanent home in England to spend time with friends who reportedly do not get along well with his wife, Meghan Markle. Royal family expert Tom Quinn told British media that Harry, who lives with Markle and their two children—son Archie and daughter Lilibet—in Montecito, California, is starting to miss aspects of his old life.

“Sooner or later, the honeymoon period ends, during which everything in the US feels new and exciting, and Harry starts to look back with rose-tinted glasses,” Quinn revealed.

The royal family expert explained that Harry’s most important friends are his military buddies and college mates, who allegedly have not visited him since he moved to America because they disapprove of his choice of spouse. Consequently, Prince Harry is reportedly looking for a place in London where he can socialize.

“Harry is determined to find a permanent home in the UK, which is partly why he continues to take legal action to force British taxpayers to cover his security costs,” Quinn told British media. How Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex, who reportedly has no intention of returning to England, will react to this news remains to be seen.

It is worth noting that when King Charles announced his cancer diagnosis, Harry immediately traveled from America to the UK to visit his father. Their meeting was brief but gave many hope that this situation might mend the strained relationships between Harry and the rest of the family. However, it seems there has been no progress, as evidenced by the fact that Prince Harry and his wife Meghan have not been invited to this year’s “Trooping the Colour.”

Both American and British media report that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will not attend the official celebration of King Charles’ birthday, held annually in June. They were also not invited last year. Since they decided to step back from royal duties and move to California with their children, the royal family has not invited them to such events.

The couple attended “Trooping the Colour” twice, in 2018 when they got married, and again the following year, appearing on the palace balcony with the entire family.

Prince Harry’s yearning for aspects of his former life and his desire to reconnect with old friends are driving him to seek a permanent residence in the UK. This move might be complicated by his ongoing legal battles over security costs and his wife’s apparent reluctance to return to England.

The strained dynamics within the royal family remain evident as Harry and Meghan continue to be excluded from significant family events, highlighting the ongoing rift between them and the rest of the royals.
