Matthew Perry’s Troubled Relationships: Allegations of Abuse and Turmoil Surface Posthumously

In the aftermath of Matthew Perry’s untimely death in October 2023, disturbing allegations of abusive behavior have emerged, shedding light on the tumultuous relationships that marked the late “Friends” star’s private life. According to sources close to Perry, he was allegedly abusive to several women, including his ex-fiancée Molly Hurwitz, leading up to his demise.

The Daily Mail reported that Perry allegedly “threw a coffee table” at Molly Hurwitz in 2021 following her inquiries about infidelity. The couple, who began dating in 2018 and got engaged in November 2020, officially called off their engagement seven months later amid rumors of Perry’s alleged flirtations with a 19-year-old on the dating app Raya.

Contrary to initial reports, sources now claim that Hurwitz initiated the breakup in February 2021 after a heated Valentine’s Day argument. Allegedly, Perry had purchased a romantic gift for someone else he met on Raya, leading to a confrontation. An insider revealed to the Daily Mail, “He threw a coffee table at her and told her that she was crazy. He hated that she dumped him and he had terrible abandonment issues.”

The troubling revelations don’t end there. Perry is also accused of abusive behavior towards his live-in sober companion, Morgan Moses, in March 2022. Sources suggest that he pushed Moses into a wall and threw her onto a bed during what is described as an alleged “meltdown.” Following this incident, Moses reportedly quit her position as Perry’s sober companion and cut off all contact with him a year before the release of his memoir, “Friends, Lovers, and the Big Terrible Thing,” in November 2022.

Despite the serious nature of these allegations, both Hurwitz and Moses have declined to comment when contacted by the Daily Mail. Page Six reached out to Perry’s representatives, as well as Hurwitz and Moses, but did not receive an immediate response.

Matthew Perry was found dead at the age of 54 in his jacuzzi on October 28, 2023. The coroner later revealed that the cause of death was the “acute effects of ketamine,” listing drowning, coronary artery disease, and buprenorphine effects as contributing factors. Hurwitz, despite the alleged rocky relationship, paid tribute to Perry on social media after his death, expressing complex emotions and acknowledging the profound impact he had on her life. The revelations of alleged abuse now cast a shadow on the legacy of the beloved television star, raising questions about the private struggles he faced behind the scenes.
